Joel Goldfoot, founder of goldfoot - a communications firm located in Downtown San Francisco - blew his nose last night, and was simultaniously struck with a big idea for a Social Networking campaign for a national client.
"I've spent the bulk of my career facinated with the 'creative process'" says Goldfoot. "Understanding how to create the conditions for intelligent creative solutions that allign with a client's business objectives isn't something that can always be done from 9-5. Sometimes you need to take a walk, remove yourself from your normal environment. The idea is always marinating, and you never know exactly when the 'big idea' will hit. It might be in the shower. It might be when you are cooking. And in this particular situation, it was when I blew my nose."
Looking remarkably healthy, Goldfoot continued, "The important thing to remember, is that when I have a creative challenge in front of me, I can't just 'turn it off' at the end of the day. The gears are always turning. You never know what you might find in that tissue."
